The purpose of the Northern Colorado Intergroup is to support individuals in need of recovery from compulsive eating (e.g.: overeating, bulimia, anorexia) through empowering all meetings within the Intergroup and to promote the unity within the Intergroup, to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, to be aware of and serve the needs of member Groups and to carry the message of Overeaters Anonymous to the compulsive overeater who still suffers, by:

  • Furthering the OA program in accordance with the Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts of OA.
  • Maintaining a Communication Center for the Intergroup including newsletters and event announcements.
  • Publishes and updates meeting lists and contacts for meetings.
  • Providing unity of Groups and organization of Groups within the Intergroup.
  • Provide a connection between individual Groups, Region III, and World Service Organization.
  • Conducting various recovery events that help further the primary purpose of the Intergroup and member Groups.
  • Provide assistance and seed money to groups that are forming.
  • Provide financial assistance to groups requesting help.
  • Provide startup literature to groups.
  • Host zoom services for virtual meetings.
  • Sponsor area 9News Health Fairs.
  • Conduct annual OA State Conventions.
  • Provide Public Information and Professional Outreach activities.
